at 4:10 ayem from a very ghastly nightmare.
THE SCENES morphing into one another involves me having coffee somewhere that looks like a makati business dristict. the time is indeterminate and dark, like dusk dark. somehow, i have a razor on me and i excuse myself from whoever i am having coffee with and then i go to the back of the cafe and shave my face from the glass window of a mall type shop. that done, it dawns on me that the razor is borrowed and that i have to return it the soonest. and so i enter an old building and then pushed the elevator. the first one contains an man cradling a bundled blanket that most certainly contains a dead body, the man is lonely and catatonic. i step into the next elevator and it zooms right up until i am at floor 47. i tell my myself that this is the wrong floor so after pushing the button, another door opens. this time it is filled with homeless people (pinoy yuppies) sleeping in bundled comforters. i hit the ground floor forgetting about the razor. then when i am out of the building, i see the owner of the razor, a woman who is with three other men. she tells me that i have to wait, that one of her companions need to check in for work. i follow them inside a bank type building but i am not allowed inside. as i head out, a courier gives me a package where i can see through that it is some kind of hand written receipt for a gun that i have just sold. that’s when i found myself riding a bike with my brother. we are under a flyover that forks up. under of its chicken wired space are a group of people with crows, petting them the way one would a gaming cock. me and my brother join the rest of the crowd on bicycle looking through the mesh of chicken wire. then the people with the crows start to agitate their animals. at this point, my brother says that he has to leave. he leaves while i look on. then the crow people start pairing their crows and letting go. one by one, the crows started landing on each other and pecking its other with very sharp teeth under their beaks. this, as they give out earsplitting caws. blood and guts from the crows being eaten start to spill but the frenzy continues. a pair lands on my back pocket and that’s when my brother comes back. i scream for him to pick up the crows killing each other inside my pocket but he only looks at me and says that the dance is already starting and that we have to move and see it. we ride the bike as the carnage continues in my pocket. and then i wake up.
I TOOK a piss and then realize that i could never go back to the kind of horror, so i decided to surf the web and open the blank document titled, chapter 14.
THE SCHEDULE for the day is the library card renewal and then i find a discount running pants, the tight ones worn under shorts. wednesday might prove to be relatively summer and the crawling resumes.
OVER THE weekend, both our debit cards also expired (it must a four year cycle, i presume). luckily, we noticed it with the bank still open so we got new ones. cash and debit are our preferred media of exchange and credit is only done out of lack of choice.
I ALSO bought the 2012 guide to literary agents at barnes & noble. aside from what is listed on the book, it also gives me access to the online database. there is just no excuse not to at the very least attempt to sell this fucker.
NOW I begin the sprint towards THE END. chapter 14 looks angry.
